If you want to damage your relationships, destroy your reputation and create chaos, start here: Gossip Freely – Ruin Trust and Invite Division. Use gossip to pit people against one another, share what isn’t yours to share, spread rumors, forget confidentiality, exaggerate faults, whisper behind backs, stir up conflict, turn private struggles or mistakes into juicy tidbits to share for laughs or sympathy and sit back and watch the drama unfold.
But here’s the truth: Gossip creates division, and division weakens the body of Christ and leaves wounds that last. Speak with kindness, truth and love and watch your relationships flourish. Choosing words that heal rather than harm brings peace and strengthens relationships.
