We often talk about the importance of forgiving others but what about forgiving ourselves?

For many of us, the deepest wounds aren’t from what others have done to us but from what we've done ourselves. The regret, the shame, “I should’ve known better.” Even though we believe in God’s grace, we struggle to receive it personally. We say we’re forgiven, but secretly live like we’re still condemned.

Holding onto guilt doesn’t make us more holy, it just keeps us from living fully in the freedom Christ purchased for us. Forgiving ourselves isn’t about forgetting our sin; it’s about trusting that Jesus' sacrifice was enough, even for that.
